Pedemonte Cabernet 2007

This wine is a smoking deal; it comes from the heart of the Rutherford AVA in Napa Valley, and is a row by row selection of vines which goes into a small production bottling.  At a suggested $27 retail, you will find it for $50 at stores... when it is available.Pedemonte Rutherford Cabernet Napa Valley

NOTES: The nose shows red fruits, toasted oak and a touch of earth.  The palate is vibrant and rich, with elegant tannins, bright acidity and well integrated oak.   The wine has good balance and takes a little bit to show all of its cards as it evolves on your palate.  There are cherry cobbler and dark cherry creme fruits along with a touch of minerality and Rutherford dust.  The finish is moderate and overall the wine is exceptionally clean and pure and shows good depth in the center of the palate.  You can drink this small production gem now, or over the next 2-5 years.
